The E-Book is Coming...
Most who know me will quickly tell you that I have a passion for writing and speaking. I will admit that I communicate best this way in my opinion as typically it is a one sided conversation. For the past few years I have had a burning desire to write my own book. I was given the opportunity to write my first chapter in a book published by the Public Technology Institute in 2012 and from there doors began to open. Since that time I have contributed to books, magazines, articles, white papers, and other materials but yet to reach my ultimate goal.
Earlier this year I began writing for an excellent career site known as Careers In Government. Upon my second article, I proposed a four part mini-series in a guidance type format of how to start your career in IT. I chose to write on this subject after 15 years in the information technology profession as I remember how difficult it was to actually "get your foot in the door." I also remember how little I knew and thought of how much easier it might have been had I had someone inform me of the things I know now. These articles were a teaser of sorts to see if the topic would spark any interest. According to feedback from the sites publisher, we both believe that enough interest was sparked and so the journey begins - my first book! I chose an E-Book for several reasons which I will not begin to bore you with now. But you can look for the book to be published very soon and available for purchase.
What I look for now is feedback on what some of the readers may want to find out more information on or even a chapter they feel would be beneficial.
